Sunday Ramblings

Just some random thoughts from today…

• It has been an amazing summer.  Our services have been full and the energy is strong… not sure where we are going to put the people come fall
• Ben did another great job making today happen – and our CA team was incredible all around – strong work today everybody!
• I’ll be posting by tomorrow a clip of an incredible Phil Wickham song “Mystery” that our team pulled off as a closer to the message. Stephanie W. nailed the vocals and… Laura B. put together an amazing sand art (more on the sand cam later) that just completely summarized the heart of the message – amazing!
• Shane needs to finish up his break, enjoy his week in San Diego, and get himself back here
• Sometime we forget how much time and effort volunteers put in each week – I looked around this morning and they were everywhere, doing their thing with a great attitude and passion – if that was you – thanks
• We had a team from the upcoming Vegas XXX Church plant in our 11:30 am service today
• This week would be a light one except… we have a FireFlight concert Wednesday evening in our facility so we will have a full day making that happen – should be a cool evening though
• Heard from Terry Kelley today via Facebook.  Terry is an awesome worship leader who is tearing it up at Timberline in Ft. Collins, CO.  Shout out to Terry!
• This week our Creative Arts team needs to start thinking Christmas… did I really type that?
• I am ready for Brett Favre to just go away already.  Dude, it’s time to leave the stage.. and no encore is needed.
• My daughter Ashlee assisted with the message today doing a little “paint by numbers”.  She did a great job and even started working the timing in the last two services to finish as I did.  Way to go Ash!
• BTW Ashlee is twelve… I need prayer.
• Is there any hope for Hirsch’s hair?  Hirsch’s golf game?
• TBone requested an upgrade on our green room snacks today… we’re on it — the poptarts just weren’t cutting it.
• I’m pondering patenting the SandCam
• Why do people love Nascar?  Tryed to watch a bit of the Brickyard race today…it’s unwatchable.
• This week I’m getting a tuneup lesson from a golf professional – have to go see Jim, The Pro – it’s ugly right now and I won’t hit the course again until something is tweaked
• My wife is awesome and incredibly hot.
• Martin needs to get some sleep.
• I need to get some sleep as well… so that is all.
